Our History

Dr. Ferlin Tutt founded Beechnut Animal Clinic in Sharpstown over forty years ago. He was well respected and loved by his clients. The hospital's location was originally suburban but the population explosion caused massive growth and the city of Houston now surpasses us by 20 miles! Dr. Tutt has since retired from day to day practice and now spends his time performing veterinary medical missionary work in underserved countries. We wish him the best! Dr. Greg Matt purchased Beechnut Animal Clinic in 1996. After an internal remodel and addition of new state of the art medical equipment he created a growth spurt and renewed recognition for the clinic. The compassion lives on!
